Facebook Gratitude Page
I'm so pleased to tell you about the new Facebook Page I started called the Power of Gratitude
You all know how important I feel that Gratitude is. It takes your mind off your problems and increases your vibrations so that you are emanating much more positive energy than before. This will then activate the Law of Attraction in your life and bring more abundance and well-being into your life.
Post on that page everything you appreciate and are grateful for. Pick at least 1 (and preferably 3) things a day. Can you keep up the challenge every day for the month of November. But then the big challenge is to continue posting and recording your "gratitudes" even past Thanksgiving (in the US).
If you don't have it yet, pick up your PC Gratitude Journal (not sure it works on Windows 8 though) and use that on your desktop to record your gratitudes there for as long as you want.
It will give you more energy, more excitement and even more anticipation. When you share your Gratitude and Appreciation with others (on the Facebook page)
Wednesday Wisdom – What is Beautiful?
I couldn't resist posting this today. As you know I'm training for this really long run in July in Tennessee and I'm in one of those "discouraged" sections of the training. When you couple that with the fatigue, it doesn't make for a pretty picture.
But when I got up this morning I had an email from one of the people who has been most supportive to me on this endeavor. So I had to write about this. Although this person is also "beautiful" on the outside, the most important beauty is internal. Just a supportive email, a text, a phone call - think about what you can do to help others feel good today.
I should save this for a Momentum Monday but I just had to remind everyone that the beauty is deep within.
I also remind you that what you do for others may never be shown to you. But it's important. To say a word, just to acknowledge them - call them by their name - you never know when that will make a significant difference in how they feel. You hear stories all the time about how such a small action will prevent someone from carrying out a suicidal plan they had.
I read once about someone who waved at everyone and when asked why, he said that he had once met someone who told him that had he not spoken to him, he would have killed himself. So now, he waved to everyone "just in case".
Who has touched you today and more importantly, who can you touch? Let us know in the comment box.
Live in The Moment, Not For the Main Event
The main event has never been the manifestation; the main event has always been the way you feel moment by moment, because that's what life is.
Excerpted from the workshop: Syracuse, NY on October 17, 1996
This says it all. It's what people really mean when they tell you to live life in the moment! In the past 7 months I have learned how important that is. You cannot be "waiting" until you get to this point in life or achieve this or that, or have a new car, new relationship etc. You have to live right now and aim to be joyful and experience all that happens to you as it happens.
Try to do this for a day at first. If you make it to breakfast and then forget, that's a step in the right direction. Keep on track every time you remember what you've vowed to do. Get yourself back to living in the now. Look around you, write it down then or at the end of the day. There are so many phone apps that are diaries that would make it easy for you to record how well you are living in the now. Read it back when things seem to be going not so good.
